The Manhattan Guitar Club was a unique group of New York City guitarists who were sought after by the recording, advertising, movie and television industries.
The club provided amplifiers in major recording studios around the city and negotiated additional fees for guitarists who were asked to provide instruments in addition to the guitar — such as banjo, mandolin, ukulele, bass guitar, etc.
